Nomads winning run ends at Hilton
The Nomads excellent run came to an end as they lost by 107 runs away at Hilton.
The hosts scored 237 for 8 thanks to a century from Young. In reply, the Nomads were bowled out for just 127. Rich Bastable scored his second half century of the season.

Nomads in good order at Audlem
The Nomads won a tight game against Audlem. The hosts elected to bat and posted 206 for 5.
An unbeaten half century from Mahmood and valuable innings from Thakur, Bastable and Fearon got the Nomads close to the target. Singh and skipper Loxley saw the visitors home to notch up the fifth victory of a fruitful season.

Nomads Woore effort.
The Nomads notched up another impressive win away at Woore.
Another half century from Gardner was the mainstay of the innings. With notable contributions from Mirza (30), Ellis (18), Stanley (15) and a valuable last wicket partnership between Nick Bryars (15) and Cartwight (20*).
Opening bowlers Gibson (3-22) and Cartwright (2-42) soon made inroads, aided by a stunning catch by Bryars Snr.
There was three wickets for MVP Olivia Bryars (3-9) as a youthful Woore side were dismissed for 100 to give the Nomads victory by 101 runs.

Nomads break records at Allestree.
Records tumbled as Lichfield Nomads beat Allestree by 199 runs.
A debut half century from Rich Bastable, along with 50s from Mahmood and Turnbull saw the Nomads rack up 296 for 5 on a fast outfield. Scoring was aided by short boundaries either side of the wicket but even so it was an impressive batting performance.
Openers Mahmood and Cogzell both took two early wickets to knock the stuffing out of the hosts' response and there were two wickets for Fearon and Gibson.
Allestree were all out for 97 to give the Nomads their third victory of the season.

Nomads 2024 AGM and team meeting
This year's AGM will take place at the Bitter Suite pub, 55 Upper St John Street, Lichfield, WS14 9 DT on Tuesday 16th January 2024 at 8:00 pm. The AGM is to be followed by a January monthly Club Meeting in order to discuss normal Club business.
Nominations for Officer positions or Club/Vice Captain should be returned to Darren Cartwright please before the 16th January.

Nomads winter nets
I can confirm that indoor nets are now officially booked and will commence on Tuesday 23rd January 2024 at 8:30 pm for a one hour session at Queen Mary's Grammar School, Sutton Road, Walsall, WS1 2PG.
They will continue every Tuesday night at 8:30 pm for one hour until and including 12th March, except for 13th February when the facility is closed for school half term. After the 12th March session indoor nets will then move to a Wednesday evening - commencing Wednesday 20th March at 8:30 pm until our final session on Wednesday 10th April. The bowling machine should be available should we need it.
Please come along if you can - the opening game is still a couple of months away, but it's a great opportunity to get in some vital practice so that we can hit the ground running come April.
